Hi I’m Lisa.
I began a career in complementary therapy thirteen years ago through a genuine desire to help others to cope better with the demands of modern living. I am in my mid 40s, happily married with two children. I feel totally comfortable in my own skin and am truly pleased to be ‘Me’. My own personal journey to feel ‘Good to be Me’ has taken many years. This accomplishment of my own self awareness and self acceptance ignited a passion to encourage others to find their own way to happiness and self acceptance. This led to the beginning of my career in complementary therapies.
I studied first in relaxation and healing therapies, child psychology and, stress management, helping many adults and children to ease both physical and emotional stresses as a means to cope better with their day-to-day living.
Advanced Hypnotherapy was the natural progression for me as a therapist because it creates an understanding and awareness in the client’s mind that empowers you to discover your inner resources and in so doing, to clear issues for yourself permanently. I qualified in 2005 and gained a good reputation in Buckinghamshire through successful results and positive client feedback. My previous practice in Old Chesham was largely referral based from a number of GPs and counsellors in the local area.
I have recently relocated to the New Forest and am busy developing clinics in Salisbury and the New Forest area.
I specialise in all kinds of psychological and physiological anxiety disorders, as well as all aspects of confidence for both adults and children.
So What is Special About My Approach?
I adopt an integrative approach to my work with all my clients. This means that I use a number of different methods, tools and techniques to help you to feel better within yourself and about yourself in every way. We work together very much ‘off the cuff’ in a creative spontaneous way to help you unravel your thoughts, strengthen your resolve and find your way through to success. My approach is flexible and adaptable. This means that whilst working towards a specific outcome, therapy is adjusted to meet the changing needs of the client. My approach is empathetic yet at the same time, sensible and pragmatic. My aim is to support you to better understand yourself, to develop a self-awareness which in turn allows you to enhance your life coping skills, in order to embrace positive change and improve the quality of your life.
I work intuitively with each and every client and the help I offer is unique to you as an individual. In this way, a number of sessions might well combine any number of different approaches from hypnosis for relaxation to advanced hypnotherapy using psychotherapy, cognitive and behavioural therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), counselling and coaching, to hypno-healing, depending on what is required to meet the uniqueness of your situation. This rounded approach ensures that together, we find our way through whatever we need to work through, in a safe and totally confidential way.
My approach to my work is highly professional and the highest standard of conduct and wellbeing is very important to me, not just in my work but in all areas of my life. My commitment to each and every client is to provide my best service and my best help in the most informed way.
Client confidentiality and ensuring that an understanding of what the client wants to achieve, along with realistic expectations, are paramount. I also ensure that you are properly informed of terms of business and that you are suitably prepared in understanding your responsibility in the process of change.
